Peer-to-peer Learning

Peer-to-peer learning, also known as “peer learning”, is a teaching method in which individuals learn together and from each other, often without a formal instructor.

This learning approach leverages the collective knowledge and experience of participants within the same group, promoting active participation and collaboration. Peer learning is advantageous because the learning outcome benefits both the learner and the facilitator.

Peer-to-peer learning can be facilitated through group discussions, tutoring by more experienced peers, or through a “flipped classroom” model, where learners prepare in advance before formal instruction.

Digitally, peer-to-peer learning is supported through communities and by enabling employees to share knowledge on a learning platform, which others can then access as performance support in their work.
