In general, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field within computer science and engineering that focuses on developing systems and machines capable of performing tasks that previously required human intelligence.
This includes the ability to learn, reason, solve problems, understand natural language, perceive environments and make decisions.
When it comes to learning platforms, Artificial Intelligence specifically refers to the use of AI technology to enhance and personalize learning experiences.
For example AI can be used to analyse learner interactions with training materials, adapt content to individual needs and answer questions solely based on the knowledge available within the learning platform (also referred to as the corporate brain).
