The 3 Needs model is a framework that supports learning design by guiding the learning designer through three key areas:
- Business needs
- Target group needs
- Learning needs
Once these three need types have been explored, they form the basis for deciding which learning solutions are best suited to meet them.
The model focuses on creating learning solutions that address business needs by supporting employees and leaders in their daily work.
It consists of six phases:
- Business needs
- Target group needs
- Learning needs
- Learning solution
- Launch
- Iteration
The model is designed to ensure that the right problems are addressed and that the learning solutions developed truly support employees.
